Infection Prevention and Control Project Officer

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care seeks a highly skilled Infection Prevention and Control Project Officer to support the team in achieving its work plan.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for infection prevention and control to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing secretariat and project management support, including managing budgets, undertaking procurement and contract management activities, and collaborating with team members and other areas of the Commission.

  • Support the IPC team in achieving its work plan by providing high-level administrative assistance, including preparing reports, briefings, and other documents.
  • Undertake project planning and management, including budget preparation and monitoring, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with team members and other areas of the Commission to achieve the work plan and other designated projects.
  • Research, review, and analyse data, reports, published material, and expert opinion to provide information and advice to support the development of projects and program initiatives.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing secretariat and project management support, including managing budgets and undertaking procurement and contract management activities.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and research skills, including sound judgement and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated high-level organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to produce high-level documents that clearly communicate complex issues.
  • Knowledge of government processes, particularly in regard to procurement and contract management processes.
