About this Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Injury Prevention Specialist to help shape a safer, healthier workplace for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide immediate care and support for workplace injuries and illnesses
  • Develop and manage Return-to-Work Programs in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Oversee the end-to-end injury management process, including workers' compensation claims
  • Deliver expert advice on injury prevention and early intervention strategies
  • Collaborate with Occupational Health teams to identify hazards and improve employee health
  • Maintain accurate records and analyse injury data to inform future strategies
  • Support managers in building their capability to manage injured employees effectively

Requirements:
  • Professional Qualifications: Postgraduate qualifications and current registration with a relevant professional body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA, or AASW), supported by on-the-job experience in injury management.
  • Injury Management Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing workers' compensation claims, developing Return-to-Work Plans, and collaborating with a range of stakeholders to support safe and sustainable return to work outcomes.
  • Legislative Knowledge: Strong understanding of relevant regulatory and legislative frameworks, with the ability to educate others and ensure compliance at the local level.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Proven ability to align injury management strategies with broader organisational goals, working effectively across teams and disciplines.
  • Communication & Influence: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach to building relationships and influencing outcomes.
  • Time Management: Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver timely results.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: A collaborative mindset and the ability to foster strong working relationships across multidisciplinary teams to drive positive return to work outcomes.
