Senior Claims Professional

About the Role:
A challenging opportunity has become available for a Senior Claims Professional to join our Claims team at Marsh Pty Ltd.
The successful candidate will provide a high level of claims management services to clients and brokers through consulting, advisory, advocacy, and negotiation.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Constantly liaise with clients, insurers, claimants, brokers, solicitors, and loss adjusters to ensure effective claims management.
- Develop and interpret policy wordings to ensure accurate claims assessment.
- Arrange and conduct investigations to determine claim validity and extent of loss.
- Negotiate with insurers and claimants to achieve fair and timely claims settlements.
- Determine claims settlements for under-deductible claims and collaborate with the State Manager on complex claims.
- Prepare client-targeted reports, including trend analysis, to inform business decisions.
- Prepare for and attend client meetings, including annual or quarterly claims review meetings.
- Perform general administrative tasks, including data management, entry, reconciliations, invoicing, filing, and scanning.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in corporate claims management (insurance industry).
- Exposure to liability and industrial special risks claims is highly regarded.
- Compliance with Tier 1 (Insurance Broking) requirements.
- A bachelor's degree in insurance, law, or a related field is ideal but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.
