  • Projects and System Change: The Senior Infrastructure Specialist sponsors and provides technical leadership for infrastructure projects from planning to completion. These projects must meet deadlines, budgets, and business goals, ensuring they align with the company's overall strategy.\
  • Security & Compliance: In collaboration with the Cyber Security team, the Senior Infrastructure Specialist identifies and addresses potential security risks within Lactalis Australia's infrastructure, systems, and processes. This includes staying up-to-date with the latest security threats and best practices to maintain a robust security posture.\
  • Incident & Problem Management: As an escalation point for complex technical issues, the Senior Infrastructure Specialist ensures quick resolution and thorough root cause analysis. This involves collaborating with internal teams to identify and address issues, minimizing downtime and maximizing system availability.\
  • Budget, Vendor & Asset Management: The Senior Infrastructure Specialist manages vendor relationships, contracts, and services agreements. Accurate records of infrastructure assets are maintained, and opportunities to reduce costs and contribute to budgeting and long-term planning are identified.\
  • Strategy & Innovation: Providing input into ICT strategy, the Senior Infrastructure Specialist identifies trends and recommends new technologies that enhance performance, efficiency, or scalability. This involves researching and evaluating emerging technologies, assessing their feasibility, and making recommendations to senior leaders.\

    • Qualifications / About you:\
      • \
      • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and systems administration, supported by a Graduate Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (equivalent industry experience acceptable).\
      • Technically, proficiency in managing both on-premises and cloud-based systems, particularly Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, and Red Hat Linux. Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), backup and disaster recovery (Veeam, Azure Site Recovery), and monitoring tools (PRTG, SolarWinds, Splunk) is required.\
      • Security and networking knowledge with working familiarity of firewalls, VPNs, SIEM tools, and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.\
      • Strong leadership capabilities, including team development, project oversight, vendor management, and strategic input. Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.\
