Cloud Architecture Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architecture Strategist to join our engineering team in Brisbane. As a key member, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and securing our cloud-native infrastructure.

This is a senior, hands-on role that requires someone who thrives in startup environments, enjoys building robust systems from the ground up, and wants to lead infrastructure strategy in a high-impact SaaS company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design, deployment, and management of AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement scalable infrastructure and applications using cloud native services.
  • Manage CloudFlare for WAF and security performance optimizations.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments.
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices (data protection, identity, monitoring) and manage security vulnerabilities.
  • Drive AI automation initiatives for infrastructure scaling and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with engineering to optimize system reliability, performance, and cost.
  • Integrate data analytics pipelines for monitoring, insights, and predictive scaling.
  • Establish observability practices: logging, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Manage internal IT operations (networking, device management, identity & access, and internal systems).
  • Mentor engineers on DevOps practices and foster a culture of automation-first.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years in DevOps, AppSec, Infrastructure, or Site Reliability roles.
  • Proven experience managing cloud-native, SaaS infrastructures at scale.
  • Strong background in security and compliance.
  • Ability to balance hands-on engineering with strategic leadership.
