
Strategic Business Development Professional

We're seeking a talented business development professional to join our team.
This role requires strategic thinking, market analysis, and stakeholder engagement to drive growth and innovation in the advanced capability domain.
The ideal candidate will have an engineering, scientific, or technical background and be able to engage credibly with Defence stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
- Prospecting emerging opportunities through proactive market intelligence and early stakeholder engagement.
- Maintaining and cultivating stakeholder relationships with Defence delivery agencies, capability managers, prime contractors, and the wider research and innovation ecosystem.
- Managing the business development lifecycle, including lead generation, qualification, sales pipeline management, and accurate order forecast reporting.
- Conducting competitor and market analysis to identify technological differentiators and refine our value proposition.
- A strong understanding of ADF acquisition cycles, sustainment planning, technical regulations, and Defence contracting frameworks.
- Demonstrated performance in business development within advanced capability research and development or adjacent technology-intensive domains.
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end sales processes, including lead generation, pipeline development, sales forecasting, and order reporting.
- Educational qualifications in an engineering, scientific, or technical field.
Eligibility for Australian Defence security clearance is required.
