
Strategic Business Development Professional

This role requires you to develop and maintain client focus, drive sales growth through retaining and building on existing relationships, and generating new business opportunities.
- Manage long-term relationships with key clients who are actively involved in the organisation's insurance products, services, and solutions.
- Develop meaningful working relationships with clients and underwriters.
- Aware of all large and potentially complicated claim-related matters and assist claims personnel in negotiating equitable claims settlements on behalf of clients.
- Ensure client needs are identified and met by taking a proactive approach to account management and service delivery to clients.
- Implement account retention and defence strategies.
- Investigate and pursue new business opportunities.
- Develop relationships collaborating with branch networks and insurers to deliver solutions and outcomes designed to meet client needs.
- Assist with preparing, implementing, managing, and achieving business plans, budgets, and goals.
- Debt management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Promote insurance, financial services, and premium funding products cross-selling when opportunities arise through contact with clients.
- Deliver operational and process changes for efficient client delivery.
- Driven sales professional with an understanding of targeted and strategic selling processes.
- Client servicing including front-line client management.
- Business acumen and business development skills.
- Extensive knowledge of technical competencies and insurance products.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to build and manage relationships.
- Negotiation and influencing skills.
- Diploma of Financial Services or other relevant tertiary qualifications advantageous.
- Tier 1 Insurance broking qualifications (AU).
- Previous experience working within Insurance or Financial Services advantageous.
