**IT Asset Management Analyst Role Overview**This position involves managing the lifecycle of software and services, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and maintaining a healthy IT environment.The successful candidate will have experience in software asset management, knowledge of software licensing models, and analytical skills.
  1. Develop processes to automate software discovery and license management using ServiceNow SAM module.
  2. Perform periodic software audits to ensure adherence to supplier license usage terms.
  3. Maintain governance for software license management processes.
  4. Manage external software license compliance audits.
  5. Advise on best practices for software compliance across various products and license models.
  6. Collaborate with management to optimize license compliance posture.
  7. Provide expertise to reduce license expenditure and promote savings.
  8. Operate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in software licensing and optimization.
  9. Develop acquisition processes, including leadership in software supplier and managed service provider negotiations.
  10. Research and implement methods to facilitate robust software license management.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
  • Software asset management experience.
  • Knowledge of software licensing models.
  • Analytical and financial analysis skills.
  • Experience working with ITSM tools and CMDB.
  • Broad knowledge of technology concepts.
