Event Operations Leader Position

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team as the Event Operations Manager for one of the Gold Coast's most loved weekly events.

The role blends hands-on operations, leadership, and community connection, making it perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving on the go and seeing their work come to life every week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run the end-to-end event cycle from set-up to pack down, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Lead and motivate a small onsite crew, setting the tone for a proactive, can-do culture.
  • Manage vendor applications, allocations, and layouts to deliver a great event mix.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for participants, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Deliver an excellent visitor experience that keeps the community coming back.
  • Support additional seasonal events and activations, helping with planning and onsite logistics.
  • Stay on top of administrative tasks, reporting, schedules, and communications.
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience in a supervisory or management role (events, hospitality, retail, or operations all ideal).
  • Strong interpersonal skills - clear communicator in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • A calm, problem-solving mindset under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and handle early starts.
