Job Summary:
">As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising a team of electrical work packages, estimating project staffing needs and schedules. You will prepare discipline estimates and work plans and review and approve electrical investigations and studies.
">- Plan, develop, direct, and participate in the day-to-day electrical engineering activity on small to medium-sized projects or a portion of a major project with minimal to moderate complexity within a global business unit utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)
- Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of personnel assigned, estimate staffing needs and schedules, and assign work accordingly
- Provide technical input to meet procurement requirements
- Prepare or oversee the preparation of electrical discipline estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, and manage implementation and performance accordingly
- Review and make recommendations of the electrical engineering aspects of bid evaluations and awards for approval by project engineering
- When directed, coordinate with client representatives to obtain their approval of electrical engineering aspects of the work
- Review and approve key calculations, licensing evaluations, design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders, for the project to which assigned
- Ensure that assigned electrical engineering personnel receive appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development
- Assist in the preparation and reviews of project procedures and cost estimates for proposals, forecasts, and change orders
Responsibilities:
">- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive electrical engineering plans, estimates, and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget
- Manage and direct electrical engineering activities to ensure compliance with project objectives and goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project success and optimize business outcomes
- Oversee and monitor the performance of electrical engineering personnel and provide feedback and coaching as needed
- Continuously improve processes and procedures to enhance overall project efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
">- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on project management and leadership
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders
