GB Industries is a leading electrical contracting company to Mackay Ports, Sugar Mills and Mines in the Bowen Basin. Due to our continued success, we are seeking an exceptional Electrical Leader to join our team.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

The Role:

  • Play a key role in managing of mine site projects, including technical reviews, monitoring and forecasting.
  • Management of project scope, time, cost, quality, risk and procurement in order to achieve objectives
  • On site leadership of project teams
  • Developing project opportunities and client relationships.
  • Heavily involved in planning, tendering, forecasting and executing of projects and site works.
  • Forecast, schedule and plan outages for project work, in consultation with key stakeholders.

Key requirements:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in a related Electrical field (preferably as an Electrical Engineer)
  • Project Management experience managing projects (either on contractor or client side)
  • Strong technical skills and experience in contract documentation / administration, stakeholder management, reporting on cost and programs
  • Demonstrated track record in developing and maintaining internal and external relationships
  • Proven project and contractor management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of modern Electrical maintenance methods and experience in their application to various infrastructure.
  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Project.
