Senior Social Worker Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with clients to identify issues, set goals, and build their capacity to ensure the safety of children and young people. They will also provide supervision and coaching to team members and new staff, and support foster carers through regular visits and maintaining detailed records.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize evidence-based programs to work with clients and help them achieve positive outcomes.
- Provide supervision and coaching to team members and new staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Support foster carers through regular visits and maintain detailed records to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
- Promote culturally responsive services for First Nations children, young people, and carers, encouraging family-led decision-making.
- Prioritize child protection and welfare in all activities, ensuring children's opinions are considered in decisions affecting their lives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A Degree or Master's in Social Work and eligibility for AASW registration.
- Experience working with children, young people, and families.
- Skills in developing, implementing, and reviewing client plans through comprehensive assessments.
- Knowledge of Child Protection Legislation and related government initiatives in Queensland.
