Deliver exceptional child protection services as a Child Welfare Specialist. You will work collaboratively with communities and stakeholders to promote the safety and well-being of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of risk and need, developing and implementing plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people, and working collaboratively with other professionals and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Conduct thorough assessments of risk and need for individual cases, utilizing your analytical skills to identify potential issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Develop and implement plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and stakeholders, including social workers, community groups, and government agencies, to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A bachelor level qualification in social work, psychology, human services or behavioural science (or equivalent), providing a strong foundation in understanding child development and behavior.
  • Strong relationships-building and communication skills, enabling you to effectively engage with children, young people, and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing situations and priorities while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality services.
  • A valid driver's license, allowing you to travel to different locations as required.
