
Child Welfare Professional

As a Child Welfare Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health, wellbeing and engagement of students in your community. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and their families.
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking evidence-based assessments and interventions to promote positive mental health, wellbeing and engagement outcomes for students. You will provide individual, group and community responses to support students and their families, building opportunities for student voice and participation relating to culture and inclusion within the school setting.
You will also work closely with families and the community to support student mental health, wellbeing and engagement at school, referring, supporting engagement and coordinating services when necessary.
In addition, you will participate as a multi-disciplinary team member within the school setting, engaging in inter-agency networks relevant to the social work role and building internal and external partnerships to integrate service responses.
Main Responsibilities- Undertake evidence-based assessments and interventions to promote positive mental health, wellbeing and engagement outcomes for students.
- Provide individual, group and community responses to support students and their families.
- Build opportunities for student voice and participation relating to culture and inclusion within the school setting.
- Degree in Social Work or related field.
- Proven experience working with vulnerable populations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
