At the forefront of safeguarding excellence, we seek a visionary leader to helm our Investigations and Child Safeguarding Unit.
About the Role:- This pivotal position ensures our commitment to child safety is unwavering across all services.
- Lead and mentor the Child Safeguarding Unit, guaranteeing high-quality, procedurally fair investigations.
- Oversight of the allocation and progress of investigations, encompassing complex and historical cases.
- Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to uphold legislative and policy obligations.
- Promoting continuous improvement in safeguarding practices and systems.
- Providing expert guidance on child safety matters across our organization and related entities.
- Extensive experience in leading investigations, particularly involving vulnerable children and young people.
- A deep passion for child safety and a comprehensive understanding of Victorian child safety standards.
- A keen eye for detail and identifying risk.
- A strong knowledge base of relevant legislation.
- Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and report writing skills.
- Substantial leadership experience and an ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- A Bachelor qualification in Social Work, Quality Management, Legal Studies, Compliance and Risk or a related field.
