Job Title:
Senior Lead, Investigations and Child SafeguardingThis leadership role is focused on ensuring the commitment to child safety is upheld across all services. The Senior Lead will lead a team of dedicated investigators within the Child Safeguarding Unit, providing expert guidance, mentoring, and oversight to ensure investigations are thorough, procedurally fair, and trauma-informed.
- Lead and mentor the Child Safeguarding Unit, ensuring high-quality, procedurally fair investigations.
- Oversee the allocation and progress of investigations, including complex and historical cases.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to uphold legislative and policy obligations, including mandatory reporting such as the Reportable Conduct Scheme, Social Services Regulations, and the DFFH Client Incident Management System.
- Drive continuous improvement in safeguarding practices and systems.
- Act as a key advisor on child safety matters across Berry Street Yooralla, and related entities.
