Job Title

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and bookkeeping for clients, as well as providing exceptional support and expertise to ensure the smooth operation of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping for clients, including managing accounts payable and receivable, running payrolls, and performing bank account reconciliations.
  • Be responsible for client lodgements, including BAS, IAS, and TPAR, using cloud accounting systems such as Xero and MYOB.
  • Support our team and clients by providing expert advice and guidance on financial matters, including payroll, GST, and general compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve internal processes and procedures, and contribute to the development of new initiatives and projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a bookkeeping role, preferably within a small practice or with small business clients.
  • Solid working knowledge of cloud accounting systems, including Xero and MYOB.
  • Strong understanding of payroll, GST, BAS, and general compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with the confidence to engage directly with clients and provide meaningful insights.
