Financial Operations Assistant

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant to support our financial processes in Bundaberg, Queensland.

About the Role:
  • Accurate and timely data entry for accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Processing of weekly payment runs, bank account, and credit card transfers, payments, coding, and reconciliations
  • Managing debtor collections and associated reporting
  • Processing and monitoring customer budget funding requests
  • Providing administrative support for all bank account and credit card requirements
  • Assisting in meeting internal and external reporting deadlines
  • Fixed asset capitalisation and depreciation processing
Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter accurate financial information into accounting systems
  • Process payments and transfers efficiently
  • Manage debtor collections and related reports
  • Support customer budget funding requests
  • Administer bank account and credit card needs
  • Meet reporting deadlines
  • Coordinate fixed asset capitalisation and depreciation
Requirements:
  • Entry-level position ideal for school-leavers
  • General bookkeeping skills desirable but not essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Current unencumbered Class C driver's license required
  • Hold or willing to obtain approved Working with Children (WWC) clearance
  • Proactive, accurate, and detail-orientated with strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an exceptional eye for detail
  • A team player with professional and positive personal presence
