Our Team Leaders are responsible for performing a range of hospitality and kitchen duties, including managing the Mess and Bar areas, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming Defence personnel and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Handling cash and operating EFTPOS systems.
  • Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and facilities.
  • Ensuring all packaged and perishable items are checked for best by dates prior to service.
  • Maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Assisting with stock management, including restocking, stock rotation, and inventory control.
  • Ensuring compliance with the facility's HACCP program.

Requirements:

  • Prior team leadership experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of hospitality and catering service delivery is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience working within Defence would be advantageous.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use online rostering systems.
