The Role: We are seeking a Compliance Support Manager to join our Sydney team. As a Compliance Support Manager, you will be responsible for advising our broker members on all compliance matters related to the legislative and regulatory requirements within consumer credit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and embed a strong compliance culture through coaching and training of a member portfolio
  • Identify and monitor regulatory changes, standards, and internal policies, ensuring all requirements are clear and understood by key stakeholders
  • Undertake risk and compliance activity, such as approval of marketing materials, loan file reviews, investigations, compliance risk assessments, and review members' compliance with credit licence requirements
  • Monitor and review ongoing compliance obligations of Connective's credit representatives and appropriately document findings
  • Ensure the regulatory requirements applicable to credit representatives and licensees are communicated, with instances of non-compliance managed accordingly
  • Present to external stakeholders on key compliance requirements and best practice
  • Actively assist and participate in various compliance-related projects and initiatives across the Connective Group

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in governance, risk, and/or compliance roles
  • A minimum of two years' experience in NCCP compliance management within the finance or banking industry
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian regulatory landscape
  • Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to conduct difficult conversations
  • High analytical and investigative ability
  • Highly collaborative across departments (primarily Sales)
  • Experience in Financial Crime and Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing Act (AML/CTF) is highly desirable but not essential
