Leadership Opportunity

The role of Chief Executive Officer is a strategic leadership position that requires a strong vision, operational expertise, and passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the continued success, sustainability, and growth of the organisation. This includes providing strategic direction, overseeing financial management, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and care.

This role requires a visible and engaged leader who is present with staff and community. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of compassion and accountability, guiding the team towards high standards and shared goals.

To achieve this, the CEO will champion the voice of young people, ensuring services remain responsive and effective. They will also explore opportunities for innovation, sustainability, and revenue diversification, while building trust with government agencies and enhancing the organisation's profile across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure the continued success and growth of the organisation.
  • Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and care within the organisation.
  • Champion the voice of young people and ensure services remain responsive and effective.
  • Explore opportunities for innovation, sustainability, and revenue diversification.

Requirements
  • Proven track record of leadership and management experience, preferably in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, stakeholders, and community partners.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a senior leadership team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the values of the organisation, particularly those related to youth empowerment and community engagement.
