Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Planning and Logistics Coordinator to join our Workforce Planning team at Qantas. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at our Mascot Corporate Campus, working on a 7-day rotating shift roster.

About the Role

As an Operational Planning and Logistics Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing the forward planning process to minimize late shift and roster changes that inflate operational costs. You will analyze the operational and staffing impacts for the roster in relation to workload demand requirements. Additionally, you will identify and decide actions to be taken in relation to operations and staffing impacts within given budgeting parameters. Working closely with key stakeholders, you will consider and implement risk management options to support coverage requirements where required.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high level of experience in business partnering and providing effective solutions to key stakeholders.
  • Experience in resource allocation/planning/coordinating functions within an appropriate industry environment.
  • Proficiency using GroundStar planning and rostering systems (advantageous).
  • Highly developed problem-solving, analytical, planning, organizational skillsets with excellent decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and solve problems under day-to-day operational pressures and to take accountability for their work to ensure business and financial objectives are met.
  • High level of computer literacy skills.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Company Policy, Awards/EBAs, and airport operations procedures.
  • Ability to model, influence, and encourage positive behaviors.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant industry experience in a finance or logistics/planning field.
