Role Overview:
- This is an exciting opportunity to join our Australia Public Sector team as a Defence Business Development Lead.
- You will play a key role in building and cultivating relationships and opportunities for the Australian Department of Defence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: You will manage relationships with key client personnel and CXOs within the client organisation.
- Identify Opportunities: You will identify, analyse, manage and monitor relationships with and between stakeholders.
- Business Development: Responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing opportunities within the Australian Department of Defence.
- Clarify Mutual Needs: Ensure maximum benefit is gained from products and services through consultation and consideration of impacts to all stakeholders.
- Drive End-to-End Pursuit Cycle: Drive end-to-end pursuit cycle for large sized opportunities (greater than $50M USD) with strategic clients or prospects.
- Use Knowledge of Defence Environment: Use your strong knowledge of Defence business environment and norms to spot opportunities for large opportunities, and ensure conversion to business as per client needs.
- Influence Client Decision-Making: Proactively position ideas and propositions to the client and influence the client to award business based on capability and track record in similar situations.
- Conduct Research and Competitor Analysis: Conduct research as well as competitor analysis to define strategies that can help enable favourable outcomes.
- Review Sales Plan and Pursuit Plan: Review sales plan, pursuit plan/business pipeline with Infosys leadership to ensure target achievement.
- Apply Expert Knowledge: Apply your expert knowledge of Defence contract process and standards, and understand the nuances of contracts and interdependencies to Defence and Infosys business drivers.
- Conduct Client Presentations: Conduct client presentations, workshops, and drive pricing and contract negotiations with the client.
- Collaborate with Solution Architect and Delivery Teams: Work closely with the Solution Architect and Delivery teams to build customised solution propositions for the targeted client within Defence.
- Build Alliances: Provide necessary input for building alliances with relevant product / service vendors.
- Travel Required: Some travel will be required to reflect the geographic dispersion of Defence.
Requirements:
- Mandatory: 14+ years of experience with at least last 5+ years' relevant experience within the Australian Defence Force(ADF).
- Mandatory: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent along with Global Delivery Model(offshoring) experience.
- Strong relationships and networks within Defence along with good understanding of Defence specific business issues and drivers.
- Systems oversight and project management experience, especially related to Defence enterprise applications, systems integration, application development and maintenance, or consulting.
- Hands-on experience with proposal creation and leading proposal presentations.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Australian Citizenship due to the nature of work.
- Active Defence security clearance required with at least NV1 clearance preferred.
Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum depending on experience, plus benefits package.
