Job Opportunity
About the PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planning Lead to join our team in Perth. As a senior planner, you will lead and contribute to the delivery of high-impact land use planning and policy projects.
Your Key Responsibilities- Lead or contribute to the preparation of strategic land use planning projects, including growth strategies, precinct plans, employment and housing studies and supporting technical inputs.
- Provide high-quality planning analysis and advice informed by current government policies, regional and local priorities and stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including specialists in economics, urban design, transport, infrastructure advisory, community planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Prepare and review reports, presentations and public-facing documents that communicate complex planning concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard of quality.
- Develop and coach individuals within the team.
- Holds tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
- Ideally minimum 3 years' experience within an Urban Planning role.
- Strong knowledge of strategic planning, and related legislation, ideally gained in a consultancy or local/state government environment.
- Proficient appreciation and understanding of strategic policies, processes and influences.
- Proficient appreciation and understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development.
