Job Title:
Senior Planning Advisor

Job Description:
As a Senior Planning Advisor, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our water services. You will work closely with our Development Services team to provide strategic land use planning advice that influences land use planning processes and protects our interests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on Region Structure Plans, District Structure Plans, and Local Structure Plans to ensure water services are available for rezoning through integrated land-use and water servicing decisions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance our business interests and protect our assets.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement land planning strategies, programs, and detailed action plans.


Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A degree qualification in town planning or engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated capability of investigating, assessing, and processing land use planning proposals in accordance with corporate processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of land use planning legislation, policies, and practices in Western Australia and the water industry.
