About the Role

Crown Resorts Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Financial Crime Intelligence and Risk Assessments Unit. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of financial crime risks and threats, as well as excellent leadership and strategic thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Strategic Priorities: Develop, maintain, and execute on the strategic priorities of the Financial Crime Intelligence and Risk Assessments Unit, refining the list of intelligence priorities and identifying emerging risks and challenges.
  • Manage Risk Assessments: Manage the delivery of Crown's major financial crime risk assessment activities, including product, channel, jurisdiction, and enterprise-wide risk assessments, producing high-quality reporting.
  • Develop Financial Crime Typologies: Develop and maintain financial crime typologies that inform financial crime risk assessments, transaction monitoring, and models.
  • Provide Insights and Expertise: Provide insights and subject matter expertise to senior stakeholders, ensuring that risk assessments and thematic intelligence assessments are produced in a timely manner.
  • Lead and Develop a Team: Manage and develop the capability of a team of risk and intelligence specialists, ensuring compliance with and adherence to all relevant legislation and policies and procedures.
About You

We are looking for a passionate leader who is a subject matter expert in financial crime, with extensive experience in financial crime risk management and compliance. You will have:

  • A Degree (or undertaking a Degree) in a relevant discipline (e.g. law, intelligence, MBA etc.)
  • Proven experience in leading teams in a financial crime risk, intelligence, or similar function
  • Advanced strategic thinking and leadership, including the ability to attract, retain, and develop talent
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at a senior level
  • Excellent research and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the casino/gaming environment highly regarded
