Senior Structural Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our Buildings Team in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a global team of experts within a renowned consultancy, allowing you to leverage your skills across technical work, project management and client relationships.

This role involves:

  • Structural design of buildings, inspections, assessments and reporting.
  • Collaborative working with architects, project managers, building services and civil engineers on multidisciplinary teams delivering high-profile projects.
  • Project management and leading teams for successful project delivery.
  • Participation in projects from conception, through to final design and construction surveillance.

You will bring:

  • A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
  • 3-6 years' experience as a Structural Engineer, with specific depth in building design projects in a consulting environment.
  • Experience utilising a broad range of skills across various types of buildings and materials.
  • Membership of Engineers Australia and CPEng and NER registration is desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards.
  • Ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.

Flexible full-time or part-time options are available.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing structural designs for buildings and associated reports.
  • Conducting site inspections and assessments.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional membership with Engineers Australia.
  • CPEng and NER registration highly regarded.
