Category Development Specialist

A key position in driving category strategy and sourcing for indirect corporate and commercial services. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying developments, and conducting category reviews to drive understanding of markets and how to leverage supplier capabilities and industry developments for competitive advantage.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for assigned categories, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and innovation.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement and track outcomes across productivity, innovation, sustainability, and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Act as a strategic business partner, engaging with stakeholders to influence decisions, support innovation, and unlock end-to-end value.
- Build relationships with strategic suppliers to drive performance, innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience in a similar category management role, specifically in indirect corporate and commercial services.
- Strong negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and experience managing budgets and forecasting.
- Ability to influence and engage cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Experience developing category strategies and leading complex supplier negotiations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
