About this Role
- We are seeking a Category Product Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support the commercial Sales and Marketing team by managing relationships with key retail and independent customers.
- You will identify sales and marketing opportunities and assist in category planning.
Key Responsibilities
- This position involves generating product ideas, writing product descriptions, and supporting product sourcing.
- You will use data analysis to drive category growth and optimize customer planograms.
- The ideal candidate will review customer planograms and optimize assortments.
- This role also includes managing product registration, artwork approvals, and factory audits.
- You will conduct regular presentations on slow-moving stock, competitor analysis, and promotional recommendations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a retail or FMCG environment, with experience in a category, sales, or marketing function.
- A degree in Marketing or equivalent is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Adobe platforms is an advantage.
- Strong creative skills for point-of-sale materials and an understanding of planogram planning and execution.
