About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Sr. Manager to lead our Startup Solutions Architect team in the APJ region. As a key member of the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) team, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of AWS technologies among Startups in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Hire and develop a team of excellent Specialist Solutions Architects who work with Startups in the APJ Region.
- Interact with CxO/VP level executives, developers, and technical architects to ease adoption, develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships.
- Become a trusted advisor within customer accounts through Technical Thought Leadership.
- Develop and deploy programs that leverage AWS Field Solution Architect teams, as well as technology and consulting partner channels.
- Collaborate with AWS Product and Technical teams to create solutions that solve customer problems, including reference architectures, patterns, automation, and release plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years technical development, design, and implementation
- 7+ years' experience leading high-performance teams in a matrixed organization
- 7+ years management of technical, customer-facing resources
- 7+ years of experience with at least two of the following technology categories: Compute, Containers, Analytics, Database, AI/ML, Storage
Preferred Qualifications
- Startup background and experience at a VC or PE-backed firm in a Technical Executive capacity
- Familiarity with open-source software used by Startups and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies common to Startups
- Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Startup executives and developers
- Cloud expertise as demonstrated by one or more cloud certifications
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
- Advanced degree highly preferred
