About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager to lead our Specialist Solutions Architects team in the APJ region. As a key member of our Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) team, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of AWS services among Startups in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and develop a team of excellent Specialist Solutions Architects who work with Startups in the APJ Region.
  • Interact with CxO/VP level executives, developers, and technical architects to ease adoption, develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships.
  • Become a trusted advisor within customer accounts through Technical Thought Leadership.
  • Develop and deploy programs that leverage AWS Field Solution Architect teams, as well as technology and consulting partner channels.
  • Collaborate with AWS Product and Technical teams to create solutions that solve customer problems, including reference architectures, patterns, automation, and release plans.
What You'll Need
  • 10+ years technical development, design, and implementation experience.
  • 7+ years' experience leading high-performance teams in a matrixed organization.
  • 7+ years management of technical, customer-facing resources.
  • 7+ years of experience with at least two of the following technology categories: Compute, Containers, Analytics, Database, AI/ML, Storage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Startup background and experience at a VC or PE-backed firm in a Technical Executive capacity.
  • Familiarity with open-source software used by Startups and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies common to Startups.
  • Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Startup executives and developers.
  • Cloud expertise as demonstrated by one or more cloud certifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
