Community Registered Nurse Role

This is an opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team as a Community Registered Nurse, delivering high-quality care to clients in their homes.

As a key member of our community nursing team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic and person-centred support to clients across the Eastlakes Local Government Area.

Located in the Lake Macquarie region, you will be part of a vibrant community with access to lakes, reserves, and recreational opportunities, making it an ideal location for those who value a healthy work-life balance.

About The Position

As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based care that makes a direct difference to people's lives. You will work closely with colleagues and other providers to deliver seamless care, maintaining therapeutic relationships with clients in their homes.

The regular roster will see you working every Thursday and Friday one week, alternating to Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday the next, with consistent hours from 8:00am to 4:30pm each day. Your day may include wound assessment and management, medication support, managing PICC lines, portacaths and clexane, continence and catheter care, palliative care support, and general nursing assessments with referrals to other services as required.

  • Deliver high-quality patient care to clients in their homes
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic and person-centred support to clients
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans in consultation with clients and families
  • Participate in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with best practice in community nursing
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Current unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence and willingness to drive
