Senior First Nations Cultural Producer

About the Role
The Australian Museum is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior First Nations Cultural Producer to join our Programming team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive and sustainable First Nations public program.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a suite of programs interpreting the Australian Museum's onsite exhibitions and First Nations cultural collections.
- Work closely with our First Nations Division to produce high-quality programs that meet the needs of our audiences.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop new areas of the program, including festivals, workshops, cultural revitalisation, and community engagement.
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of existing Museum offerings, including Ngalu Warrawi Marri, gallery tours, NAIDOC and Reconciliation Week activities.
Requirements
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Event Management, History, Culture, Art, or Science.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a broad range of people.
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with Elders, community, stakeholders, and industry.
