About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Electorate Officer Assistant to join our team in the Burnett Electorate Office. As an Electorate Officer Assistant, you will provide high-level administrative support to the Member of Parliament and the Electorate Officer, ensuring the smooth operation of the office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide secretarial, executive, and administrative support to the Member of Parliament and the Electorate Officer, including managing the Member's diary, making appointments, and arranging meetings and events.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with constituents and community groups, providing information, assistance, and advice on a range of issues.
  • General Administration: Manage the daily operations of the electorate office, including general administration, financial obligations, and reporting.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in administrative support roles, preferably in a government or parliamentary setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of parliamentary procedures, policies, and protocols.
  • Education: Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
What We Offer
  • Salary: $86,909 to $108,698 per annum, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • Employment Type: Permanent, full-time employment.
