The Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) is a leading sports, hospitality, events, and property development company.

We are seeking an experienced Customer Ticketing Operations Manager to join our Customer Team at Caulfield Racecourse.

About the Role

This full-time position reports to the Customer Growth Manager and will be responsible for managing and executing all customer service and ticketing requirements.

The successful candidate will work in collaboration with Membership and assist with execution on race days.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate to shape the development of MRC's pricing & attendance model for racing ticketing.
  • Implement and manage ticketing software solutions.
  • Develop and review plans, processes, and policies for managing ticket operations.
  • Coordinate the release of tickets for sale to all MRC racedays and events.
  • Execute ticketing related to membership or dining packages.
  • Implement operational plans for the distribution of stakeholder ticketing requirements.
  • Engage with Ticketek, Operations, and IT to ensure barcodes and access for entry systems work effectively.
  • Manage ticketing content on the MRC website and third-party channels.
  • Develop Customer Service SLAs to improve efficiency within the customer service function.
  • Report to the business and key stakeholders around Customer Service metrics.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a ticketing-related or management role.
  • Extensive understanding of ticketing systems, processes, and practical experience in writing ticketing use cases and processes.
  • Strong operational experience in ticketing within a major event environment.
  • Experience working in a customer service or frontline services role.
  • Knowledge of membership databases (desirable).
  • Sound IT skills, particularly understanding ticketing box office and access control requirements (desirable).
  • A level of technological skill to comprehend and oversee the development of the Ticketing platform.
  • Ability to work independently with strict guidelines and deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task.

$90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
