About the Role

As a seasoned technical expert, you will be responsible for delivering advanced technical support and infrastructure maintenance across client environments.

This role involves a mix of remote work and onsite engagement at the client site in Millmerran, QLD (once or twice per month). You will be responsible for maintaining and improving IT infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable systems, and supporting junior engineers while leading or contributing to various IT projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure & Security Support:
    • Maintain and improve IT infrastructure
    • Ensure secure and reliable systems
  • Administer and Troubleshoot: Veeam Backup & Replication, HPE server infrastructure, Fortinet security solutions, Cisco solutions, Office 365 & Exchange environments, VMware vSphere environments, Qualys
  • Operations & Maintenance:
    • Perform routine server management, patching, and maintenance activities
    • Ensure backup and disaster recovery processes are tested and reliable
    • Monitor and resolve system performance, availability, and security issues
  • Team Leadership & Mentoring:
    • Provide guidance and technical escalation support to junior engineers
    • Share knowledge and contribute to internal documentation
  • Projects & Implementation:
    • Lead or contribute to infrastructure and security projects including: Exchange upgrades and migrations, Firewall upgrades and configuration, Server and storage refreshes, Cloud and hybrid integration initiatives
  • Client Engagement & Travel:
    • Travel to the Millmerran client site (1–2 days per month) to provide onsite support
    • Represent the business professionally and maintain strong client relationships
