Procurement Specialist – Corporate Solutions

As a key member of Transurban’s corporate procurement team, you will play a vital role in shaping the company’s strategic sourcing and procurement strategies.

About the Role

This Procurement Manager position will be responsible for supporting sourcing activities across corporate indirect categories, including professional services, facilities management, legal services, insurance, marketing, banking, consulting, and other related services.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior business stakeholders and the Senior Procurement Manager to develop and implement commercial strategies that drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the business to understand business objectives and desired outcomes.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor category management plans for the categories you lead.
  • Support the end-to-end procurement process, including stakeholder engagement, strategy development, and supplier management.
  • Negotiate commercial terms to deliver best value outcomes.
  • Consolidate the supplier base through strategic partnerships.
  • Support the implementation of supplier performance reviews.
  • Achieve defined cost savings and deliver value-added initiatives.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal teams.

Requirements:

  • At least five years of procurement experience in a similar industry or related spend categories.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in sourcing, category management, and supplier management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with spend analytics and technology-based systems.
  • Impeccable ethics and integrity.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to contribute to business growth.
