Job Summary:

As Chief Technology Officer, you will lead and inspire our engineering teams, shaping our technology vision and driving innovation. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that our platform is not only stable and high-performing but also adaptable to the evolving needs of the business and customers. Working closely with other Directors of Engineering, Directors of Product, and the Director of Design, you'll ensure alignment between the technology and business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage and inspire a team of engineering managers and individual contributors, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.
    • Attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent, while mentoring the team on best practices and company values.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with Directors of Product, Design, and other Engineering Directors to ensure a cohesive strategy and seamless execution.
    • Facilitate communication and alignment across departments, ensuring efficient delivery of projects.
  • Technology Stack:
    • Oversee and optimize our full-stack JavaScript environment, including Node.js, React, and other modern frameworks.
    • Ensure our JavaScript-based systems are scalable, maintainable, and capable of supporting both front-end and back-end requirements.
  • Platform Stability and Performance:
    • Ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of our platform, with a focus on website speed and mobile app responsiveness.
    • Champion best practices for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Engineering Velocity and Efficiency:
    • Optimize engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to drive velocity and efficiency.
    • Monitor and refine engineering workflows to maximize productivity and deliver high-quality results.
  • Trusted Advisor:
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CTO and the executive team, providing insights and recommendations on engineering matters.
    • Support strategic decision-making and long-term planning with a focus on innovation and scalability.

$175,000 - $225,000 per year
