About the Unit

Level 3 is a specialized acute ward featuring 33 beds dedicated to Surgical and Medical care, focusing on various surgical disciplines including General, Bariatric, Urological, Gynaecological, Plastics/Reconstructive, and Colorectal Surgery, along with 14 Medical Beds. Additionally, there is a 4-bed Higher Observation Unit connected to the ward. This unit provides extensive learning opportunities within a collaborative environment, making it an exciting chance for the right individual to assist nurses in their transition to the acute hospital setting.

About the Role:

The Clinical Nurse Facilitator will deliver education and guidance to four new staff members as they move from sub-acute to acute nursing through the Entry to Acute Care Program (EACP). Over the course of 6 weeks, the Clinical Facilitator will offer supernumerary support to the EACP participants, facilitating their swift adaptation to acute care. Collaboration with Nurse Unit Manager/s will be essential to support the EACP members effectively.

What You Bring:

  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
  • AHPRA Registration.
  • Capability to work independently, efficiently, and in an organized manner during high-demand periods.
  • Proven ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • A commitment to joining a team dedicated to the care of others within a mission-driven organization.
  • Aptitude for facilitating education in diverse settings, including individual, group, or simulation formats.
