Position Overview: Clinical Nurse Facilitator - Entry to Acute Care Program

The Entry to Acute Care Program (EACP) spans a period of 6 weeks, designed to create a nurturing atmosphere for Nurses transitioning into acute care settings.

About the Unit:

Level 3 is a specialized acute ward featuring 33 beds dedicated to Surgical and Medical care, focusing on various surgical disciplines including General, Bariatric, Urological, Gynaecological, Plastics/Reconstructive, and Colorectal Surgery, along with 14 Medical Beds. Additionally, a 4-bed Higher Observation Unit is integrated within the ward, offering extensive learning opportunities in a supportive setting.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Guide and educate four new nursing staff members as they transition from sub-acute to acute nursing through the EACP.
  • Provide supernumerary support to EACP participants, ensuring a smooth transition into acute care.
  • Collaborate closely with Nurse Unit Managers to facilitate the development of EACP members.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
  • Current AHPRA Registration.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently during high-demand situations.
  • Proven capability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.

  • Experience in delivering education in various formats, including individual, group, or simulation settings.
