About the Unit

Level 3 is a 33-bed acute Surgical/Medical ward specializing in various surgical disciplines including General, Bariatric, Urological, Gynaecological, Plastics/Reconstructive, and Colorectal Surgery, alongside 14 Medical Beds. The ward also features a 4-bed Higher Observation Unit. Level 3 provides extensive learning opportunities within a supportive framework, making it an exciting chance for the right candidate to assist nurses in adapting to the acute hospital environment.

About the Role:

The Clinical Nurse Facilitator will offer education and guidance to four new staff members transitioning from sub-acute to acute nursing through the Entry to Acute Care Program (EACP). This 6-week program will include supernumerary support for EACP participants to expedite their integration into acute care. The Clinical Nurse Facilitator will collaborate with Nurse Unit Managers to support EACP members effectively.

  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
  • AHPRA Registration.
  • Capability to work independently, efficiently, and in an organized manner during high-demand periods.
  • Proven ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • A commitment to joining a team dedicated to caring for others in a mission-driven organization.
  • Aptitude for facilitating education in diverse settings, including individual, group, or simulation formats.
