About the Unit

Level 3 is a 33-bed acute Surgical/Medical ward that specializes in various surgical fields including General, Bariatric, Urological, Gynaecological, Plastics/Reconstructive, and Colorectal Surgery, along with 14 Medical Beds. Additionally, there is a 4-bed Higher Observation Unit connected to the ward. Level 3 provides extensive learning opportunities within a supportive framework, making it an exciting place for the right candidate to assist nurses in their transition to acute hospital care.

About the Role:

The Clinical Nurse Facilitator will deliver education and guidance to four new staff members as they transition from sub-acute to acute nursing through the Entry to Acute Care Program (EACP). This program will last for 6 weeks, during which the Clinical Facilitator will offer supernumerary support to the EACP participants to expedite their integration into acute care. The Clinical Nurse Facilitator will collaborate closely with Nurse Unit Managers to assist the EACP members.

What You Bring:

  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
  • AHPRA Registration.
  • Capability to work independently, efficiently, and in an organized manner during high-demand periods.
  • Proven ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • A commitment to joining a team dedicated to the care of others in a mission-driven organization.
  • Ability to facilitate education in various formats, including individual, group, or simulation settings.
