Key Role

We are seeking a senior leader to head our Bushland Management Unit, responsible for delivering high-quality bushland management services across the region.

The successful candidate will lead a team of skilled professionals and work closely with key stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that enhance the natural environment and engage the community.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a pivotal role in shaping the environmental legacy of our region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver strategic plans to conserve and restore biodiversity across the region.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Bushland Management Team, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination.
  • Build strong relationships with traditional custodians, community groups, and other key stakeholders to enhance the natural environment and promote community engagement.
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and reporting, ensuring compliance and strong outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in urban biodiversity conservation, rehabilitation projects, and related fields.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in developing high-performance teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as biodiversity conservation or ecology.
