
Bushland Conservation Specialist

We are seeking a senior leader to head our Bushland Management Unit, responsible for delivering high-quality bushland management services across the region.
The successful candidate will lead a team of skilled professionals and work closely with key stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that enhance the natural environment and engage the community.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a pivotal role in shaping the environmental legacy of our region.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver strategic plans to conserve and restore biodiversity across the region.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Bushland Management Team, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination.
- Build strong relationships with traditional custodians, community groups, and other key stakeholders to enhance the natural environment and promote community engagement.
- Manage budgets, contracts, and reporting, ensuring compliance and strong outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in urban biodiversity conservation, rehabilitation projects, and related fields.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in developing high-performance teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as biodiversity conservation or ecology.
- Salary from $122,479.30 to $136,887.38 per annum, plus super.
- A permanent, full-time opportunity, with flexible work arrangements and a monthly RDO.
