Job Description

This role involves working as a Principal Officer in the environment sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing strategic conservation programs and projects, providing expert advice, and monitoring conservation outcomes.

The team focuses on developing and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex projects, collaborating with stakeholders, and operating with autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and coordinating conservation programs and projects;
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to support regional conservation planning;
  • Leading the identification and implementation of biodiversity offsets;
  • Monitoring and reporting on conservation outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in a relevant ecological or environmental science discipline;
  • Experience in implementation and operational delivery of successful conservation programs;
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of current state and national ecological policies, frameworks, and legislation.
