Your Role as a Home Care Equipment Specialist

In the position of Home Care Equipment Specialist, you will represent our organization with pride. This role encompasses the delivery of medical gases and equipment through cylinders to various healthcare settings, as well as visiting patients in their residences to assist with the setup, education, and maintenance of oxygen equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport medical gases to healthcare providers and residential aged care facilities.
  • Visit patients to deliver medical equipment, gas cylinders, and other necessary supplies.
  • Assist in the setup and upkeep of medical equipment while educating patients on its proper use.
  • Diagnose issues and provide replacements for defective units.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including stock management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience operating a commercial vehicle safely.
  • Familiarity with safe driving practices and knowledge of local areas.
  • Physical capability to handle medical equipment and cylinders weighing between 4 to 25kg, with heavier items transported using a trolley.
  • Possession of a COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
  • Valid Australian open driver's license (manual license preferred).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including on-call duties.
  • Experience in healthcare logistics or patient care is advantageous but not mandatory.
