To provide and assist in the development of high-quality Exercise Physiology service provision to meet the needs of the clients of Brain Injury SA (BISA).

**Key Result Areas**:
Clinical Service Provision, Interdisciplinary Practice and Teamwork, Advancement of Brain Injury Services, Staff and Student Supervision, Quality and Safety and Accountability and Organisational Contribution.

**Key Challenges**:
Maintaining a complex caseload (in line with level of experience) and minimum 5 billable hours per working day.

**Position Summary**:
Working as part of an Interdisciplinary team, the Exercise Physiologist (EP) is responsible for the provision of EP services to community-based adults with Acquired Brain injury. The incumbent will support the Discipline Lead (Physiotherapy) with the establishment, and ongoing management, of specialised high quality Exercise Physiology services delivered within Brain Injury SA.

**Duties include**:

- Providing Exercise Physiology services and evaluating best practice
- Maintaining high level clinical standards for own caseload and in the supervision of students
- Implementing innovation to problem solve the needs of people living with brain injury.

**The incumbent also assists the Hub Team Leader/Discipline Lead in**:

- Managing human and physical resources required to meet service demand
- Developing and documenting systems to support quality and clinical standards
- Providing advice and consultancy to service funders, management and professional networks
- Providing clinical and professional support

**Position Requirements**:
**Key Result Area 1: Clinical Service Delivery**:

**Providing clinical skills (appropriate to level of experience) to assist clients of Brain Injury SA and growing knowledge in relevant specialist areas of Exercise Physiology.**

- Services provided are client centred, founded in evidence or best practice and undertake a goal orientated approach.
- Interdisciplinary team has access to advanced and current clinical knowledge in specialist area to deliver best practice.

**Co-ordinating Exercise Physiology service provision including using a variety of context for therapeutic value (e.g. groups)**

Position holder is successful when:

- Allocated workload is successfully achieved within resources available.
- Participant goals are achieved or reviewed appropriately for redirecting as indicated.
- Close collaboration occurs with the Discipline Lead and other members of the Allied Health team to ensure participant needs can be accommodated and good service planning occurs.

**Maintaining professional standards and meet organisational requirements in all reporting, recording and administrative practices.**

- Participant service records are maintained to a professional standard of completeness and accuracy.
- Correct forms and templates are applied as required.

- Discipline Lead is supported in providing service development and achieving best practice through excellence in collaboration and communication.
