High-Performance Infrastructure Specialist

The Queensland Fire Department requires a skilled technical performance and capacity analyst to lead information technology operational platforms and ensure the performance and efficiency of network systems and infrastructure, data centers, cloud compute and storage capabilities to serve critical business functions.
This role involves working with multiple departments and stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges and provide recommendations on how to optimize systems to meet those needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor IT systems and applications, analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement, and create and maintain performance dashboards and reports.
- Assess current and future capacity needs, develop and maintain capacity plans to ensure adequate resources, and implement strategies to optimize resource usage and prevent over-provisioning.
- Optimize systems and applications, collaborate with development teams to implement performance improvements, and perform root cause analysis of performance issues to provide solutions.
- Proven experience in performance analysis, capacity planning, and system optimization.
- Technical experience in a large, complex ICT environment would be desirable.
- Certification in ITIL or project management.
