About the Role:

The position of Community Counsellor plays a pivotal role in delivering educational counselling and support services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and students across various schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored support service programs to enhance the educational participation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and students.">
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with out-of-school sources of information and support services to promote the advancement of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students and communities.">
  • Provide expert advice and information to school administrators on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander social and cultural protocols, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements.">
  • Ensure that all members of the school community have access to accurate and up-to-date information concerning Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander social and cultural issues.">
