About the Role:

">

Our team is seeking a skilled and dedicated Child and Family Cultural Support Specialist to join our Remote Area Families Service (RAFS) program. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing cultural support services to vulnerable children and families in remote locations.

Key Responsibilities:

"> Support early childhood development, parenting resilience, and mobile services to communities; Develop and implement programs to strengthen family relationships, implement early intervention, and prevention activities; Enhance and support increased First Nations/Multicultural community participation and family functioning; Provide information, advice, and referral pathways; Increase awareness of children's wellbeing and have a holistic approach to supporting early childhood education in alignment with family and child support to nurture children to be fully prepared for learning and life; Understanding the role is predominantly delivered in remote locations and resulting in approximately 60% of work hours spent travelling and overnighting in communities.

Requirements:

"> A degree in Social Work or a related field; Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Capacity to travel regularly and spend extended periods in remote areas.
