Job Title: Community Safety Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Safety Officer to join our Compliance and Waste Services team at the City of West Torrens.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time role that offers a competitive salary and a range of benefits. As a Community Safety Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing community safety laws and regulations, conducting investigations, and providing excellent customer service to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce community safety laws and regulations, including the Road Traffic Act and Private Parking Areas Act.
  • Conduct investigations into community safety issues, including fire hazards, overgrown vegetation, and nuisance reports.
  • Provide excellent customer service to the community, including responding to reports of dogs wandering at large and attacks.
  • Manage corporate records according to City of West Torrens policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge and understanding of community safety laws and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in a similar regulatory environment.
  • Strong documentation, record keeping, and report writing skills.
